There was a programme organised by Sakura College Representation Committee which was called B-oops! Stare Because I Care as a support to Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign which would be held on every Octobers. This programme was divided into two sessions, the first, ZUMBA: Turn Up The Pink was held on 19th of October 2018 on a fine Friday at Multipurpose Hall, Pavilion.
The programme started at 8.00pm where the participants started gathering at the hall to register their attendance using QR Scanning Code. The participants wore pink shirts in order to support the purpose of the event. After scanning the attendance, the participants were given a pink ribbon to be pinned on their shirt.
Then, at 8.15pm, the programme continued with the a short welcoming speech by Che Aina Husna. Miss Linda and team, Zumba trainers from Bodylicious were invited to the event to have their Zumba Dance. Participants happily followed the steps and danced with various language songs and beats until 9.30pm.
The trainers were gifted souvenir and a photography session was held with the participants and trainers together with our both felo. The trainers took a leave and participants signed out using QR Code Scanning.

Bengkel Keterampilan Diri
On Saturday,13th of October 2018, there was a programme called Bengkel Keterampilan Diri held at the Seminar Room in Sakura College. This programme was separated into two sessions. The first session was from 9.30am to 12.00 in the noon. The second session then started at 1.45 in the afternoon and ended at 5.00 in the evening.
The first session started with registeration of participants using QR Code scanning. Participants who are Sakura residents gathered around by 9.45am. A speech was given by Cik Siti Syafariyah binti Alias, a selected orator from Counselling Unit of Universiti Malaysia Sarawak. This speech was about the importance of personal appearance. She also introduced few tips on how to dress up according to events or ceremonies. A small quiz was held for students to identify their respective taste in dressing. The speech then ended with giving away souvenir by Miss Farah Haziqah, the event organiser. A photo session was held with the participants and orator at the end of the event. The orators moved to have their lunch and participants signed out using QR Code left to get ready for the next session.

A welcome speech was given by Che Ain Husna. Then, a short brief was given about Mary Kay. This session was held to brief the participants about the value of beauty and daily appearance, Beauty and Grooming session. The first slot was "Know Your Skin" aimed to introduce the types of skin and face shape and to know ways to overcome oily skin and taking care of the skin. This slot was held for 45 minutes. The second slot is "Wake Up, Make Up" which gave way to students to learn techniques on how to make up. The session ended with giving away souvenir and a photography session. The guests took a leave and students signed out scanning QR Code.

Oktober 2018 - Bersempena Awal Muharram yang telah tiba, satu forum kemanusiaan
bertajuk ` Turning Twenties `
telah berlangsung di Dewan Syarahan,Pusat Islam Tun Abang Salahuddin (PITAS),
UNIMAS. Panel jemputan ialah Prof Madya Dr Abdul Halim Bin Haji Busari berusia
44 tahun. Beliau merupakan pengarah PITAS serta merupakan pensyarah kanan di
Fakulti Sains Kognitif dan Pembangunan Manusia, FSKPM, UNIMAS. Beliau telah
melajutkan pengajian dalam kedoktoran (PhD) dalam bidang Kepimpinan di
University of Bradford, UK.
Forum
anjuran JASSA ini berlangsung jam 8.30 malam dengan alunan asmaul husna dan
bacaan doa.
‘PHD’ ialah singkatan kepada program hijrah diri.
Pertama, sebagai pelajar, pakat-pakat hadirkan diri ke kuliah atau kuliah yang
merangkumi ilmu fardu ain mahupun fardu kifayah. Seterusnya, panjatkan himpunan
doa dengan 4 perkara iaitu doa, zikir, syukur dan istighfar. Yang terakhir
ialah peluang hapus dosa. Nabi bersabda, “Syurga itu dikelilingi dengan
pelbagai kesukaran, sementara neraka itu dikelilingi dengan bermacam-macam
keseronokan”.
Penceramah di dalam amanat pengurusannya,
memperkatakan mengenai kepentingan ilmu. Sibukkan diri kita dengan ilmu. Pada
tahun 2010, jumlah umat Islam ialah 1.4 Billion. Kini 2.1 Billion. Manakala
banggsa Yahudi Cuma 13.5 juta. Di Asia ada 5 juta orang Yahudi. Yahudi berkuasa
dan pegang dunia pada masa kini kerana ilmu mereka.
Sebelum
tamat, panel dan moderator diberikan cenderahati oleh Pengetua Kolej Sakura,
Cik Siti Nor Ain binti Musa.

AMANAT PENGETUA
Pada 5 Oktober 2018, Jawatankuasa Perwakilan Kolej Sakura
telah mengajurkan Majlis Amanat Pengetua yang merupakan acara wajib yang akan
dilaksanakan di setiap permulaan dan penghujung semester. Pada kali ini, majlis
telah diadakan di Dewan Kuliah, Central Teaching Facilities 1 (CTF1), UNIMAS.
Pendaftaran
pelajar telah bermula seawal jam 7:30pm dan berakhir pada jam 8:15pm, menggunakan
kaedah imbasan QR Code. Ketibaan Pengetua kolej Sakura, Cik Siti Nor Ain Binti
Haji Musa yang turut disertai oleh barisan felo, Cik Noorfarida Binti Saini,
Cik Puteri Azira Binti Azmin serta Inspektor Raja Nor Azizah Binti Raja Harun,
tepat pada pukul 8:30pm telah disambut dengan meriah oleh penghuni Kolej
Sakura. Majlis dimulakan dengan nyanyian lagu UNIMAS Gemilang yang kemudian
turut diiringi lagu kolej iaitu Tekad Sakura.
Majlis
kemudiannya diteruskan lagi dengan tayangan montaj aktiviti pelajar yang telah
disediakan oleh Sakura Editorial Board bagi tahun 2017/2018. Pengetua
Kolej Sakura, Cik Siti Nor Ain Binti Haji Musa telah dijemput untuk
menyampaikan amanatnya sebaik sahaja tayangan montaj tersebut berakhir.
Di awal
ucapannya, Cik Siti Nor Ain telah memperkenalkan felo baharu Kolej Sakura yang
juga merupakan ahli pasukan Polis Bantuan di UNIMAS iaitu Inspektor Raja Nor
Azizah Binti Raja Harun yang bakal melapor diri pada Isnin, 8 Oktober 2018 ini.
Cik Siti
Nor Ain kemudian menyampaikan sebuah khabar gembira dimana UNIMAS yang
merupakan antara universiti termuda di Malaysia telah diumumkan sebagai salah
satu daripada 100 universiti terbaik di dunia pada tahun ini.
Di samping
itu, Cik Siti Nor Ain turut menasihati setiap penghuni kolej Sakura agar
memainkan peranan masing-masing dalam memastikan keharmonian Kolej Sakura
terjamin. Beliau turut menggalakkan pelajar senior dan pelajar junior agar saling
berkomunikasi dan saling menghormati agar hubungan yang rapat antara senior dan junior
di Kolej Sakura dapat diwujudkan.
Beliau
kemudian menggalakkan penghuni Kolej Sakura agar sentiasa berusaha untuk memajukan
diri dalam aspek pelajaran dan juga kokurikulum. Beliau turut berkongsi
kejayaan-kejayaan lepas Kolej Sakura termasuklah kemampuan kolej untuk menjadi
johan dalam beberapa pertandingan termasuk dikir barat, koir dan pertandingan
mengayuh perahu Kenyalang beberapa tahun lepas. Cik Siti Nor Ain turut
menyatakan kemampuan kolej untuk bersaing dengan kolej-kolej lain dalam
beberapa sukan termasuk Futsal, Bola Jaring, Bola Tampar dan Bola Keranjang.
Seterusnya,
Cik Siti Nor Ain kemudian menasihatkan pelajarnya agar bijak dalam
menyeimbangkan pelajaran dan aktiviti kokurikulum dimana beliau turut
menyelitkan sebuah video sebagai perkongsian. Beliau kemudian menegaskan betapa
pentingnya bagi para pelajar untuk mengenal pasti kepakaran masing-masing agar
dapat dijadikan sebagai “selling point” sebaik sahaja melangkah keluar ke alam
pekerjaan nanti.
Majlis
kemudiannya diteruskan dengan upacara pembubaran Barisan Jawatankuasa
Perwakilan Kolej Sakura Sesi 2017/2018. Dengan rasminya pembubaran tersebut,
nama-nama ahli Barisan Jawatankuasa Perwakilan Kolej Sakura Sesi 2018/2019 yang
terdiri daripada 22 orang ahli telah diumumkan.
Cik Siti
Nor Ain kemudian mengakhiri ucapannya dengan ucapan, “Kekal berjaya menjadi
insan yang lebih baik dari yang sebelumnya,”.
Majlis
kemudian diakhiri dengan sesi fotografi. Majlis bersurai selepas perarakan
keluar pengetua kolej dan barisan felo.

SAKURA TALENT SHOW
On Sunday, 30th September 2018, an event called Sakura
Talent Show was held. This took place at the pathway between Allamanda College
and Sakura College. This event is a platform for students to share their hidden
talents, other than to get to know each other more since the precondition for
them to join the talent show was to collaborate with students from other
apartments.
The registration started at 7:00pm by using the QR code
scanning. By 7:30pm almost all of the students already gathered. Some of them
were seated at the chairs provided by the organizers while some chose to sat near
the volleyball court to get the better view of the main stage and all the performances.
The registration ended at 7:45pm.

With the arrival of the VIPs, the Principal of
Sakura College, Miss Siti Nor Ain Binti Haji Musa, followed by the felo of
Sakura College, Miss Noorfarida binti Saini, the event started at 8pm. The two
MCs began the night by cracking few jokes that manages to lighten everyone up.

Shirlyma Imma Anak Ugat and Yong Lee Ling as a token of appreciation and also prizes
to the winning groups. The

SAKURA QURAN HOUR
SAKURA QURAN HOUR

29 Sept 2018 – Sakura Quran Hour diadakan untuk kali yang pertama pada tahun 2018. Program
ini diadakan bagi mewujudkan suasana yang harmoni di Surau Kolej Sakura dengan
merapatkan hubungan silaturahim di antara para pelajar muslim dengan aktiviti-aktiviti
yang berkonsep Islam. Bukan itu sahaja, program ini bertujuan untuk menjadikan
pendekatan diri dengan al-Quran sebagai pedoman hidup.
Para peserta diberikan masa untuk mendaftar dari
jam 5:15 petang sehingga jam 5:45 petang. Seramai 133 orang peserta daripada
Blok A, B dan C yang menyertai program ini. Terdapat peserta yang berada di
Surau Kolej Sakura dan ada juga yang berada di apartmen masing-masing. Seterusnya,
bacaan dimulakan tepat pada jam 5:15 petang untuk mereka yang berada di apartmen diiringi seorang ahli jawatankuasa aktiviti program tersebut.

petang, Quran Hour dan Majlis Khatam Quran Kolej Sakura bermula dengan rasminya.
Peserta-peserta program di surau dikehendaki duduk dalam bulatan sepanjang
program berlangsung. Beberapa orang pelajar telah diberikan tugas untuk
mengetuai bacaan sepanjang 30 minit majlis tersebut.

Hour tersebut, semua berkumpul di surau untuk solat maghrib bersama diikuti
dengan solat hajat, bacaan yassin dan akhirnya solat isyak. Para peserta
diberikan makanan dan dibenarkan untuk sign
out dan diberikan merit.
