WONDER WOMEN CLASSES

On the 30th of September 2017, the first of the two sessions of Wonder Women Classes was held at the Parking Block C of Kolej Sakura. The event was organized by the Exco Disiplin dan Keselamatan of Sakura College to promote the safety and benefits of martial arts.

Registration for the students began at 3.25 p.m. Excited faces of participants can be seen throughout the entire registration process as most were excited on learning the martial arts.

The event officially began at 4.00pm. The invited instructor was non other than UNIMAS' very own SUKMA medalist, Miss Celin Grace Aloysius. Miss Celin began the event by leading a warm-up routine before the actual martial art demonstration started.

The participants were told to partner up as most of the steps are done exclusively with partners to mimic real life situations. Again, the glee faces of the participants can be seen throughout as they were anticipating to learn these hands on skills.

The demonstration was done with nine simple steps. Miss Celin and her partner, showed the steps clearly and efficiently with a hands-on demonstration to the participants. The steps were done purely on how to survive with real life crime situations especially the ones involving women being attacked.
After demonstrating those nine easy steps, a few partners were brought up to the stage to practice each step that they have learned throughout the event.

The event ended at 5pm sharp with a token of appreciation given to the instructor, Miss Celin Grace Aloysius. Miss Celin Grace also reminded the participants on the importance of martial arts and survival in the real world and hoped that the skills she have shown on the day will be useful someday.
