Hari Sukaneka Sakura 2019

 

6 APRIL 2019, SATURDAY – Sakura Sports and Recreation Committee has organized another sports day for the residents of Sakura. The only game that was played is “Baling Selipar”, a traditional game where the players attack and defense with slippers. The defense’ team need to make four slippers stand, while avoiding being ousted by the attackers’ team. The attackers’ team need to attack the other team with slipper in order to get them out of the game.

Registration and refreshments distribution

The participants’ sign in session using QR Code started at 7.45 a.m until 8.00 a.m. Food and drinks were distributed after the registration. Briefing about the game took about 30 minutes, along with demonstration on how it was played. There were five teams competing and ten arranged matches on that day.

Game ongoing

The game started as soon as the briefing ended and went on until 10.00 a.m. while the marks were being calculated, the participants’ allowed to rest for an hour. At 11.00 a.m, the Kolej Sakura's Principal, Cik Siti Nor Ain Binti Haji Musa along with the Kolej Sakura's Warden, Miss Noorfarida Binti Saini arrived at the location. After all the winners were announced and the prize-giving ceremony were held, the sports day ended with a photography session
