On the 22nd of November 2015,
Sakura College held an event dubbed as Colour Run in conjunction of the
college’s biggest event of the year, Metamour4sis. Registration of the
participants began from 7.30 a.m. up till 8.30 a.m. The participants gathered
at the compound of the Students’ Affairs building (BHep), decked in matching
white shirts. The flag-off began at 8.45 a.m.
The participants were required to follow a
route which had four total checkpoints. The order of the checkpoints were as
followed;
Cempaka
College bus stop ---> Bunga Raya
College (BRC) roundabout --->
Tunku Abdul Zaidi (TAZ) College ---> UNIMAS stadium ---> CTF2
Waiting at each checkpoints were the program’s committee members, each of them ready to ‘attack’ the participants with various colour powders. This was considered the main part of the event as most of the participants looked forward to it. Not only shirts were stained with red, green, yellow, pink and purple. Some of the participants even had their faces and hair stained with colour powder, though to them, it only added more to the fun.
After the final checkpoint, the
participants ran and gathered at Sakura College’s parking lot C. The whole run
took about 2 hours, with the last of participants reaching the parking lot at
around 10.45 a.m. A closing ceremony was held at 11.30 a.m. Top five runners
from both the men and women’s categories were awarded medals. The ceremony
ended at 12 noon with the participants then collecting their certificates of
participations at the checkout counter. This marked the end of the Colour Run
program.
