ACADEMIC WRITING WORKSHOP

           

           The third series of Academic Writing Workshop was held on 2^nd November 2016. 

The topic of this series was "Literature Review in Report". It was delivered by a senior 

lecturer from Faculty of Language and Communication Studies, Prof Dr Ting Su Hie.

Prof Ting was excited to teach the Sakurian as it was her first time came to Sakura College. Her lecture was so interesting and captured everyone attention. She taught the Sakurian about literature review are all about in detailed. She also taught about what to write in literature review and how to write effectively. She told the Sakurian that the most important thing is to find the newest information about the topic that in Literature Review.

To test the Sakurian understanding about Literature Review, she gave an exercise for them to complete it in a few minutes.  After that, she checked one by one and everyone managed to get the right answer. She was so happy about it. She told us that anyone can write a good Literature Review as long as he/she can understand about the topic clearly. She also said that  Literature Review is to fill in the gaps of knowledge. Besides, it can influence the long term learning.

Before she went back, she also gave some tips to write a good Literature Review in final year proposal. Lastly, the program director, Elisa Elizabeth, gave her a souvenir as to appreciate her for her time that she spend to come and teach the Sakurian.
