SAKURA@KENYALANG 2020 – Epic Tournament

“Welcome to mobile legends!” - Mobile Legends Bang Bang

“Break new ground. The stadium is anywhere.”- FIFA2020  

Associated with Sakura@Kenyalang Festival, Epic Tournament was held on 16 February 2020 at Multipurpose Hall, Student Pavilion. Epic Tournament consists of two E-sports games which is Mobile Legends Bang Bang and FIFA2020. Mobile Legends Bang Bang was organized by Callis Fung Pei Yee meanwhile FIFA2020 was organized by Nurul Syuhada Binti Daud. 

There were 32 groups of 160 participants in Mobile Legends Bang Bang which including UNIMAS student, secondary students, polytechnic students, IKM students, vocational students, worker and other university students. This year, Mobile Legends have high demand of participants but we can only accept 32 group as there were limits in place and time. RM30 fees only apply per team for UNIMAS student meanwhile RM35 were charged for public. The format of the game was 32 teams double elimination.

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULES & RULES

➤ Tournament schedule will be out after the registration completed at registration

counter. (Team can scan the QR Code to get the schedule from Challonge!)

➤ Team should be ready 15 minutes before the matches start.

➤ Start with Grouping matches.

➤ Each team will play Best of 1 (Bo1) during the grouping; It is a 32 team double

elimination game series.

➤ Team who win the highest point during the group match will proceed to the next

round.

➤ Team who lose will proceed to Lower Bracket.

➤ Team who lose twice counted as lose the whole game.

➤ Final (UB & LB) and Grand Final Round will be Best of 3 (Bo3) format;

Whoever win a total of 2 sets count as winner, if both of the team get 1 point, the

teams are asked to play another round to win a total of 2 sets. 

IN-GAME RULES

➤ The application used must be Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (Moonton).

➤ The game mode is Custom mode: Draft Mode.

➤ The first team to destroy the opposing team’s Base win.

➤ In case of server crash, the game can be continued from the newly draft.

➤ If any players disconnect during a match, the players are required to reconnect as

soon as possible. Player can pause the game when there is need. Player can request to

restart the game when buck occurs in the game.

➤ Emote and Recall is allowed in the game.

➤ New hero cannot be used. (Cecelion)

➤ Charging equipment needed to prepare by the team themselves. (power bang,

extension, etc.)

➤ Referee/Marshals will enter the game start from Quarter Final Round to

Grand Final Round.

During the tournament,Mobile Legends voice lines were heard continuously.

1st Place: RM300.00 per team

2nd Place: RM200.00 per team

3rd Place: RM100.00 per team

Epic Tournament (Mobile Legends: BANG BANG)

The same time ML tournament started, FIFA 2020 also begun their match. This match was using two big computer screen and two pair of PS4 and the fees for each player cost RM6 only.)There were 38 participants, and the boys and the girls was compete with each other using Knock-Out stage. Best-of-Five stage was used during final round involved 5 participants. 

PARTICULARS GAME SETTING FOR MATCH IN KNOCK-OUT STAGE

A match in knock-out stages can’t end by a tied score. It implies to follow these particulars rules:

- The game has to use the extra-time rule.

- The game has to use the penalty shoot-outs rule.

**Depends on the player request.

PARTICULARS GAME SETTING FOR MATCH IN BEST-OF-FIVE STAGE

A match in best-of-five stages can end by a tied score. It implies to follow these particulars rules:

- The game doesn’t have to use the extra-time rule.

- The game doesn’t have to use the penalty shoot-outs rule.

The marking system will be use:

- 3 points for winner

- 1 point for draw

- 0 point for defeat

If the players tied by the points, one extra game will be held to decide the winner.

            FIFA2020 was ended before the expected time which is at 6.00 pm and the winner has been finalized. The winner goes to Mohd Luqman Sabini or most likely to be called as Keichai. First runner goes to Muhammad Nur Aiman Daniel Bin Azizan or known as Edi meanwhile second runner goes to Steve Mcateer. Congratulations to the entire winner.
