Academic Writing Workshop: Introduction and Abstract

           The second slot of Academic Writing Workshop on 12^th October 2016 was conducted by Mr Chuah Kee Man on the topic ‘Introduction and Abstract’. The event was held at the Seminar Room, Block A. There was a great turnout from Sakura College students. 

Throughout the event, Mr Chuah Kee Man encouraged participation from the audience by getting them to share what they have written for activities or exercises that he arranged and then commented on how it can be improved. He also encouraged questions from the participants and managed to create a very conducive learning environment.

During the session, the participants learned what should be within these two particular sections of their academic writing, how to get and include the right information as well as how to improve the organisation of the contents of their academic writing.

The session ended with the presentation of a gift of appreciation by the Exco of Academic and Career Development, Ms Elisa Elizebeth whom is also the Program Director of Academic Writing Workshop.
