Organized by the Academic and Career Exco 2014/2015 of Sakura College, another series of Go-Professional (Go-Pro) exclusively managed for this semester has been successfully held at Lecture Hall of Central Teaching Facilities, CTF 1 last Saturday on May 23, 2015 at 2:30PM.

Upon the arriving of the honourable guest, Dr Rizal bin Abu Bakar, a lecturer from Faculty of Cognitive Sciences & Human Development, all of the attendees which from Sakura College itself, and some other students from other colleges were standing up to give respect and as well as joining in to the singing of UNIMAS official anthem, UNIMAS Gemilang and Sakura College's official song, Tekad Sakura.

This fourth series of Go-Pro has brought up another vital component that should be enhanced and aided in oneself especially university students, specifically UNIMAS students, as according to the latest statistics of university students' employability that has been aired up recently and made some parties discussing and even debating over it.

Peeled over the "Career" theme of this time's Go-Pro, the three aspects that has been highlighted by Dr Rizal were the Resume Writing, Grooming and Interview. Not to forget about how he kept on reminding on the importance of a good resume or CV writing, that it could actually substitute the power of qualification by pointers or grades. By means of it, Dr Rizal has shared many stories about some students which are absolutely out of the circle of the high graders, but by his helps with the good resume writing, they managed to get jobs.

Coloured with examples, pictures and videos of the presentation, one of the news extracted that has caught the audiences' attentions was the one by TheMalaysianInsider which exposed out the survey made by Jobstreet of the five reasons why university students are unemployed:
1) Lack of industrial training
2) Poor English
3) Low problem-solving skills
4) Job-hopping
5) Lack of self confidence

Bear in mind that Curricular Vitae (CV) and Resume are not the same, as what Dr Rizal has pointed out that resume is used commonly in industries which concisely outline skills, educations and experiences; while CV is an in-depth document of qualification, experience, skills, publication and achievement. Or simply, CV level is higher than resume.

As much important as the resume/CV writing, the event also made the attendees to learn the best way to dress and groom before attending an interview. As cliché has it, "your personality matters most", but as in this case, first impression is very very important as peoples judge on how other appears - the hair, the clothes, the suits, the footwear.

The Go-Pro IV ended blissfully with a warm invitation by Dr Rizal to the upcoming events and fairs organized by Innovation, Careers and Education (ICE) of UNIMAS which include MDEC Internship Program, SPA Talk, and Teach For Malaysia.

"But man's capacities have never been measured; nor are we to judge of what he can do by any precedents, so little have been tried."
