SAKURA@KENYALANG : COLOUR RUN 3.0

In conjunction of the Sakura@Kenyalang Festival 2018, Colour Run 3.0 was held on the 24^th of March 2018. This yearly event was held around the university compounds. This year’s edition of the event had almost 200 participants joining the 5km run. 

The registration for the participants started around 7.30 a.m. at Stadium UNIMAS. As many were excited for the run, laughter and happy faces can be seen throughout the registration session. The participants were each given a bib and a white shirt for the run.

After the registration process, a Zumba session was done as a warm-up exercise before the running event starts. Participants followed each step carefully and can be seen enjoying themselves with the background music.

The flag-off starts at 8.00 am sharp. There were 5 checkpoints overall and with each stop, different coloured powder and colouring were prepared. The first checkpoint was at TAZ College’s bus stop, then around the compounds of Cempaka College. The next stop was at the Science Social Faculty stairs and then the Medical Faculty’s compound. The last checkpoint was at the same faculty;s roundabout. The run ended back at the Stadium.

The first 100 participants received a medal while everyone received a certificate each for participating in the event. Many expressions were seen throughout the day but most importantly everyone was covered in beautiful colours and enjoyed the event overall.
