Running Warriors were held in conjunction with the Sakura@Kenyalang Festival on
the 25th November 2016. There were 9 groups participating. 5
activities around Sakura College. Two groups each were assigned their starting
point and have to move to the next checkpoint according to increase in number,
for example, from starting point 1→2→3→4 and ending with 5.
Some
of the events and locations are as follows:
A
representative of each choosing from a set of cards containing a word or phrase
or sentence which the representative have to memorise and teach to their own
team within a certain time limit and the whole team have to repeat to the
committee members in charge of that checkpoint which is behind Block A
correctly to succeed with the activity.
Each
team member in turns have to find sweets hidden by the flour. When all sweets
have been found, the team has completed the activity located behind Block C.
The
team have to drink, with the condition every member must drink some, a mixture
made by the committee members. The time taken to finish the drink was recorded.
The checkpoint was located between Block A and B.
At
the stairs toward the car park beside Block C, each team has to choose from a
set of cards containing parts of a lyric and have to guess the singer as well
as sing the lyrics correctly. The team has completed the activity when they have
gotten 5 songs correct within the time limit.
The
event finished much earlier than expected due to the enthusiasm of the
participants.
